When it comes to mastering drills to improve bat-speed there are only a few things that I aspire to have my hitters master.

1. Learn how to hit the fast-ball consistently and effectively.

2. Achieve minimal head movement.

When I’m asked the question, “How do you improve bat-speed?” I normally respond by saying, ” Have an idea of what pitch is coming next and anticipate it. Make an educated guess!”

This is a concept that is harder for some players to understand which is why I started a new series of videos called

” The Art of Baseball Swing Analysis Series”.

In this video, I’ll share with you a couple of tips you can learn from Bryce Harper in this video where he absolutely crushes a high fast-ball into the gap.

Here is what you’ll learn:

:54 – Why you don’t need to be the next Bryce Harper

1:03 – How Bryce Harper hit this 93 mph fast-ball with ease

1:44 – How Bryce Harper slows down the ball.

Who’s swing do you want to see next?

Let me know who’s swing you’d like to see next in the “Art of Baseball Swing Analysis Series”.

I love hearing from you guys so don’t forget to leave a comment down below and say hi.

      Hey Mark.
One of Aaron’s main attributes with his hands during their movement into great, early bat speed is that he applied {TORQUE} at the handle which is applied by the push of the top hand, arms and shoulders along with the pull of the bottom hand while keeping the hands in a circular hand path while rotating around a stationary axis which transfers the body’s rotational momentum into bat head/barrel acceleration.

Torque is the result of two forces being applied to an object from opposite directions that makes the object rotate about a point.
There are two forces, actions acting on a bat which creates bat speed, #1.Circular hand path.

The transfer of a body’s rotational momentum as the hands are directed in a circular hand path.

      #2. Torque
Torque is executed at the handle of a bat during the{ push} of the{ top hand , arms and shoulders along with the {pull} of the {bottom hand} while keeping both hands in a circular hand path.
